Our Belief: The Trinity & The Word

1. We believe in one God, who exists in three persons:

Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

(Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:22, and 1 John 5:7)

2. We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God to man (It was written by human authors, but God prompted and guided them to write what they did) and is the infallible (has no mistakes nor can be wrong) and authoritative rule of faith and practice.

(2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, and 2 Peter 1:21)

3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ:

His virgin birth (Matthew 1:23)

His sinless life (Hebrews 7:26)

His sacrificial death (2 Corinthians 5:21)

His glorious resurrection (Matthew 28:6)

His exaltation (Philippians 2:9-11)

His soon return (Acts 1:11)

Our Belief: Salvation & Water Baptism

4. We believe in salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus

(Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:8-11, Titus 3:4-7)

This salvation is received through repentance and submission to Jesus as Lord and Savior

5. We believe that water baptism by immersion is commanded in Scripture as an outward expression of an inward work.

(Matthew 28:19, Acts 10:47, Romans 6:4)

It is a declaration to the world that the believer has died and is risen with Christ to walk in the newness of life.

All who repent and believe in Christ as Lord and Savior should be baptized.

Our Belief: Salvation & Water Baptism

6. We believe that the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) is a symbol of:

Our union with Christ that is, our partaking in His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4)

Is a memorial of His suffering and death

(1 Corinthians 11:26a)

A prophecy of His second coming

(1 Corinthians 11:26b)

1 Corinthians 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

7. We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is subsequent to (occur after) and is distinct from the new birth.

It endues the believer with power (Acts 1:4, 8; 1 Corinthians 12; Acts 8:12-17; Hebrews 12:28; Acts 2:42-43)

Our Belief: Physical Healing, Prayer of Faith, Sanctification

Physical Healing

8. We believe that physical healing was provided for in the atonement of Christ.

Jesus died not only for our sins but also for our sicknesses and diseases.

(Mark 16:18, Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:5)

The Prayer of Faith

9. We believe that divine healing is available through the prayer of faith (James 5:14-15)

Sanctification

10. We believe that sanctification (the act of separation from all that defiles the flesh and spirit and of complete dedication to God and His will) is the normal life of the believer.

This is something God has already done in Christ Jesus. All believers must sanctify themselves

(1 Thessalonians 5:23, 2 Corinthians 6:17-18, 7:1)

Sanctification comes through the Word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:1-2)

Our Belief: Physical Healing, Prayer of Faith, Sanctification

11. We believe in the present-day ministries of the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher or (the five-fold ministry gifts) for equipping the saints and evangelizing the world. (Ephesians 4:11-13)

12. We believe that the church is the Body of Christ or the Bride of Christ, the habitation of the Spirit. (Ephesians 1:22-23; Hebrews 12:23)

As Adam was put to sleep and God formed Eve, even so when Christ died, God took out of Jesus the church, His bride. The church is therefore God’s idea and not a man-made club.

Every believer should become an active part of a local church and offer his/her time, talents, tithes and other resources in service to God at that local church.

Our Belief

13. We believe in:

  • The bodily resurrection of believers

  • (The Rapture or Our Blessed Hope) (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

  • The millennial reign of Christ (Revelation 19:11-15)

  • The judgment of the wicked (Revelation 21:8)

  • The new heaven and the new earth (Revelation 21:22)
